Oracle Cloud Security Incident Response is seeking a Principal level analyst to join a global team investigating suspected security incidents.

The ideal candidate will have experience investigating artifacts across the entire technology stack to identify, mitigate, timeline, and remediate threats to Oracle's assets.

Expertise in forensic investigations for Network, Hardware, Software, Cloud Services, and Applications is required.

Familiarity with commercial SIEM, EDR, AV, and Scan technologies is essential, along with a solid understanding of computer forensics fundamentals to minimize reliance on vendor-specific tools.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead investigations of suspected security incidents, collaborating across Oracle teams worldwide.

  2. Manage all aspects of the incident response lifecycle, including containment, mitigation, reporting, recovery, and remediation.

  3. Develop and implement indicators of compromise into security tools for scope and mitigation.

  4. Analyze host and network forensic artifacts on Windows and Linux systems to identify threat actor activity.

  5. Automate collection, processing, analysis, and triage tasks through scripting.

  6. Utilize logs and live host artifacts to detect reconnaissance, privilege escalation, lateral movement, and execution.

  7. Create attack timelines based on investigation findings for inclusion in reports.

  8. Document investigation findings through technical reports and documentation.

  9. Enhance the incident response program by identifying gaps in coverage, tooling, training, documentation, and compliance.

  10. Mentor junior analysts and develop training on new analysis techniques.

  11. Stay current on attacker tactics, techniques, procedures, and detection methods.

  12. Communicate effectively through technical writing and verbal reports to lead investigations.

  13. Work remotely using VPN, remote desktop, email, chat, and video conferencing tools.
