Our client is seeking an IT Technician to join their growing team in Sligo on a permanent contract.

Collaborate with the Service Desk to order, build, and configure new PCs, including software installation and user-specific customisations.
Deliver systems to end users, provide orientation, and ensure proper setup.Provide comprehensive hardware and software support, both in person and remotely, covering workstation hardware, specialised business applications, and general productivity software.Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Windows desktop configuration, networking, printing, and standard desktop systems.Monitor and maintain the IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing system, ensuring timely updates, proper escalation, and clear communication with end users regarding issue status.Oversee, maintain, and support audiovisual (AV) equipment and related services in conference and meeting rooms.Deliver “white glove” technical support for senior executives and high-profile users, ensuring a seamless and efficient technology experience.Provide onsite support for the Infrastructure and Operations team, assisting with the local operational status of servers, WAN circuits, routers, network hubs, and switches.Lead and manage local IT projects, systems, and processes to support departmental and organisational objectives.Requirements:
A relevant third-level degree or an equivalent combination of formal technical education and relevant experience.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in desktop support and helpdesk/service desk environments, with hands-on expertise in networks, operating systems, storage platforms, and virtual servers.Experience with a customer service ticketing system, such as Service-Now.Strong customer service and client support skills.Willingness to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-call.
