Excel Recruitment is seeking an IT Field Engineer and Support Specialist for our client who works within the retail and hospitality industries.
This is a permanent, fully office-based role with occasional travel nationwide required.
This candidate will be the first point of contact for technical support, helping users with desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
This would suit an experienced IT specialist who has serviced the hospitality or retail industry.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot hardware and software issuesSupport Microsoft 365 applications, ensuring secure data handling.Assist with Windows and other business toolsManage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra IDHandle administration of Intune, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 Admin CentreSupport onboarding and offboarding processesResolve network connectivity issues and VPN access problemsLiaise with vendors to fix escalated hardware or software issuesTrack support tickets using AutotaskMaintain clear documentationContribute to IT projects like software rollouts and infrastructure upgrades.Requirements
Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fieldMinimum 2 years’ experience in IT supportStrong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365Experience with Intune, SharePoint, and Entra IDFamiliarity with iOS and Android mobile platformsBasic understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN)Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and EPOS systems is a plusExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsFriendly, customer-focused attitudeDesirable Certifications:
