Job description

Hours: 12 hours per week 

Contract Type: Temporary 2 year contract   

Grade: Care Assistant

Salary: €10,472 - €14,60, pro rata salary based on the whole time equivalent of the Care Assistant grade (Code 6482)

Job Closing Date: Friday 7th November 2025 at 17:00


The Arts and Activity Assistant will be based in the Creative Arts department in Lauralynn.

The role involves supporting the work of the creative Arts Facilitator with an opportunity to work with children, their families and staff in Lauralynn House.

The role includes providing relief support to the activities programme that supports each child to fulfil their social, cultural, and recreational needs.

 Essential Criteria - ideally the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • A minimum of QQI level 5 Certificate, preferably in the area of health care, community care, care for people with disabilities.
  • A minimum 2 years' experience of supporting children with profound disabilities and complex care needs.
